Jolín, Spanish Cuisine!

I don't care what any of y'all say, MY señora makes the best food in Spain! And she does it while balancing two sons of 17 years and 22 years, what a lady. In terms of where she buys her ingredients, she prefers to visits stores in her neighborhood. This is because she does not like all the people in the supermarket and would rather pay the extra money for the convenience of shopping close to home without all of the people. However, although she visits the stores in her neighborhood everyday, two to three times a week she will have to visit the supermarket against her will (there is just so much more selection there and they have much cheaper prices). She states that she has noticed an increase in price for most items that she buys, but more so for red meats. Because of this, the family eats chicken and fish more often. And obviously she has an idea of what she needs to buy before she goes to the store (she said this with a "what are you talking about of course I do" look on her face). This is what a normal day is like for her, first she goes to the stores in her neighborhood to get last minute things for what she is going to cook for lunch as most of what she needs already in the refrigerator. Then, around 1:30 she prepares the kitchen to cook lunch. Meaning, she has everything ready to cook but most of the time does not start cooking until 2:15. Then, the family and I eat at 2:30 on the dot everyday (unless Raul [17] is late, then she chastises him really quick for holding up lunch). After lunch, she and the two brothers clean the kitchen and do the dishes which takes about 20 minutes. So, all in all she spends about an hour to an hour and a half preparing, cooking, and cleaning up for lunch. Around 9 PM, she will cook something small for dinner (which usually involves eggs in some way, shape, or form). Her favorite plate to eat and to make is paella. This is because it is easy to make and is one of her favorite foods to eat (when she makes it herself). She didn't just wake up one day and figure out how to do all of this, her mother taught her everything she knows about in the kitchen. And her mother's mother taught her mother the same thing. She will pass this down generation after generation hopefully conserving her ancestors way of Spanish cuisine.
